As we all know, the world is getting more complex as fast as it is growing. No one has the time enough to take care of themselves. In this tittle-tattle, we forget that every decision we take, every move we make, is operated by our own brain. Our brain is never off-duty, it keeps working incessantly even we are sleeping. It is common and pretty natural for it to have some disorders. These disorders are treatable but serious. We need to know and understand these disorders related to the brain to get rid of them and prevent ourselves from some serious consequences.
Stress, Anxiety and Depression.  Just about everyone feels these emotions at some time. All are common reactions to life’s challenges, from losing a loved one to going through a divorce. On the surface, they can look a lot alike, but there are distinct differences.
Anxiety, Stress and Depression are different but all are interrelated.
Stress is usually characterized by a sense of feeling overwhelmed. This feeling may be due to your coping capacity being over-stretched or having been under pressure for too long. Some stress can help us to perform our day to day functions, too much stress leaves us “distressed” and often exhausted.
Stress and anxiety may seem similar on the ground, but they’re not the same. Stress is a response to daily pressures or a threatening situation, while anxiety is a reaction to the stress. Anxiety, which has no clear cause, tends to last longer and be more difficult to treat.
Anxiety is a sense of fear or dread that something terrible is going to happen. Anxiety can be general or specific to a place, social situation or thing (phobia). If you often feel anxious or depressed for no apparent reason, you may have an anxiety disorder, depression, or both. It’s not unusual for someone to suffer from both conditions at the same time. In fact, just about half of those diagnosed with depression are also diagnosed with an anxiety disorder.
Depression refers to an experience where you feel down most of the time which is called “low mood” and you have also lost interest in things you usually enjoy. You may also have changes in your sleep, appetite, feel guilty, de-motivated and generally withdraw from others.
To lead a healthy and successful life, we need to understand our brain. All the functionality of our body is nothing but a response to the electromagnetic impulse generated by our brain. When we understand our brain well then it becomes easy to cope with problems related to it.

First of all very very congratulations to all those, who have cleared their CPT or CA Foundation and welcome to the real CA world now.
As you have already cleared stage 1, you are about to begin your stage 2, that is, IPCC or CA inter, in which there are 2 Groups. You are eligible to give your exam after NINE MONTHS from the date of registration i.e, Examination due after 9 months is applicable. You have options to give both the groups together or one by one. There is no such compulsion that you have to first give Group 1 then only you are eligible for Group 2. According to your preparation, you can attempt in any manner.
You should be clear from the very beginning, about your plans for which all subjects you want to take classes and which all subjects you are doing with self-studies.
Proper planning and a good routine will help you to overcome these problems.
If you are doing graduation from non-attending college or distance education, then you can easily go for both the groups together and utilize your time effectively and make a proper schedule from the very beginning and stick to it. You can divide your subjects into sections and work accordingly.
If you are doing graduation from regular college, then, in that case, it is advisable to give one group at a time according to your preparation.
IPC is a combo of both practical and theoretical subjects. Give equal importance to each subject, whether it is theory or practical.
If you wish to give both groups together, then, in that case, I will suggest you to complete your classes of one group first, then only you should jump on for the second group.
Apart from that if need any help, Kailasha Foundation is here to help you round the clock. So, if you have any academic query, just tell us.

There are different forms of education proceeding with numerous changes and add-ons. Evolving of Theatre in education is relatively new to the education system.

It took birth in Britain in the 1960s, as a project undertaken by the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry. Due to several forming of revolutions and protests, education and theatre got affected deeply. Nearby city councilors and neighborhood teachers, developed a composed arrangement of instructive effort – utilizing dramatic execution and dramatization workshops to investigate issues of social, political and moral significance as a major aspect of a free support of the youngsters of Coventry.

Education was going quite far away from the listening and talking methods which has been used for centuries. This vintage method got replaced by practical methods in which children started working in a group on projects which helped them to prepare for having a cultured life. The desire for theatre in education to find theatre outside the room was a big step.

TIE follows many characteristics such as

• The cast should have the small number of members for neat and versatile acting.
• There should be a clear thought process about the role.
• Audience involvement is a must.
• Facts and figures in the role are needed.
• Production should come up with some moral at the end of the role.

There are many benefits of TIE like:

• Imagination: Thinking towards a next level and coming with new and creative ways for a similar level of role.

• Self- Confidence: Performing in front of the audience gives the energy to gain confidence and trust your own skills which are helpful for a student to move forward in his life as well as in career.

• Concentration: While performing a role in a play, it creates a continuous attention to the individual’s voice, psyche, and body which helps in the growth of life and career.

• Relaxation: It gives a calm and peaceful reward to the mind and body decreasing all kinds of anxiety.

Working for industries for free by contacting them directly will help to gain experience and techniques. This is the best way to begin an acting career. Volunteering at your local theatres will help a lot to gain knowledge about the happenings in theatres. For example- being a part of a small play and showing your acting skills helps an individual to increase the chances of getting into big theatre industries.

jee main

This is the time when you should be working towards strengthening the most important topics of each subject – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.  It is seen that all topics don’t carry more marks. Devoting much of your time on such topics that carry comparatively more weightage is recommended. Practice such topics more because if you have Understood the Concept behind these key topics well, then you will be able to solve a major part of the question paper correctly, which will ultimately lead you towards a Good Score.

“Devote your time to topics as per their weightage from the examination point of view.”

Tip #3: Do Not Start any New Topic

jee main

Now that there is only 7 days left for the BIG DAY, you should not start any new topic. During this Short Duration, you would Neither be Able to Grasp it Well Nor will it Help you during the exam. You should rather utilize this time in revision. This will help you in avoiding a lot of Confusion and Easing your Stress Level.

“Leave out the uncomfortable areas and select the questions carefully.”

Tip #4: Finalize your Test Taking Strategy

You have to manage time delicately during the actual exam. With a standard number of mock tests, you must have recognized the strategy or the test taking methodology, which suits you the best.

jee main

By now, you should have a Final Strategy in Hand which must include the following points:-

  • Section to start with
  • Time to allot in each section
  • Time to allot for each question
  • Buffer time for revision and attempting questions that were left earlier
  • Selecting back up questions to attempt in case your shortlisted questions turn out to be time consuming

“The best strategy is to take up first what you are best at. Do as much of that as possible. After that, move on to the test area you are ‘second-best’ at.”

Tip #5: Avoid Distractions & Take Care of your Health

This 7 days’ time is the time to focus on your studies only, as all the other things can wait a little bit.  Don’t let any distraction come in your way during these decisive days of preparation. You can always get back on social networks and friends, but this precious time should only be dedicated for studies. Playing some sports occasionally or listening to soft music is recommended if you are feeling stressful after long hours of studies.

jee main

Doing Meditation to stay calm is also an amazing stress-buster. Maintaining Good Health is essential. If you are not taking proper care of your health, then you may fall sick, and suffer from weakness, headache or fever. This may disrupt your JEE Main Preparation.

Have you ever heard these kinds of phrases?

  • I want to go Amsterdam.
  • I want to go to the top of the Mount Everest.
  • I want to see the Northern Lights.
  • I want to ride a mechanical bull or bungee jump.
  • I want to walk along the beach in the moonlight.

Every one of us has such kind of list, which includes the task which we wanted to do at least one time in our whole span of life.

This list is called “Bucket-List”.

A more formal definition of the Bucket list is “a list of things which a person wants to achieve or experience or do before reaching a certain age or say before dying.

A bucket list can be for a terminally ill patient. For e.g., If you know that at a certain age you will die, then what are the things which you really wanted to do before dying will be called as the bucket list.

So, simply put all your wishes, goals, dreams, and aspirations that you want to accomplish in your lifespan into a list and kudos! Your bucket list is ready.

The basic meaning of bucket list is to carry a track record of your goals and then take necessary steps to achieve them before a certain age or death and consequently maximizing the incredible experience of life.

Bucket List Origin

There was a movie released in 2007 named “The Bucket List” from where this term gained its popularity. In Indian cinema, we can relate this term with the wishes of “Shraddha Kapoor” in movie “Ek Villain”.

There is a phrase “Kick the bucket” which was used in middle ages when the execution was done by usually hanging on the rope and the executioner would “Kick the bucket”. One may link the term bucket list from there too.

What really goes on the list and what not

The bucket list is different from person to person. It is nothing but a personal journey between you and your goals. This list reflects what one really desires in his/her life, what are one’s ambitions.

However, the list does not include your daily household works like bringing grocery from the market or washing the utensils in the kitchen before sleeping. The list is different from the tasks which we usually do and the ambitions we have in life. Washing utensils or cooking dinner or bringing grocery is not one’s ambition but these are the tasks which one do on daily basis, however, cooking for your beloved any specific dish (And you don’t know cooking) can be on the bucket list.

There are various synonyms one can use for the bucket list, some of them can be

  1. Life goals
  2. Things to do in life
  3. Things for Incredible life
  4. Goals to achieve
  5. Ambitions from life

You may have your own synonyms for this list. And if you don’t have the list, then my sincere advice is to make one such list and try to do everything possible to complete the tasks mentioned in the list. Because then, on the last day of your life, you will not have any qualms.

Remember these lines from a Bollywood song:

“कब्र पर मेरे सर उठाकर खड़ी हो जिंदगी, ऐसे मरना है मुझे” (at the time of death, my grave should be proud of me)

For this prepare your bucket list and start achieving what you really desire for.

All the best.

‘Why it is important to go to college?’

The answer to this question is simple, that is, attending college provides vast opportunities and more exposure. When it comes to college education it becomes a lot more important to select the right course and right form of education. Students are confused whether to opt for regular attending graduation or graduation with correspondence.

It’s always best to go for a regular degree than the correspondence course. But there are many students who enroll in the correspondence course. It might seem easy and flexible at first but the reality is that it requires a lot more effort and discipline.

Regular Attending Graduation-A necessity

Regular attending graduation has its own merits and benefits. It shapes the life of a student and helps him to build a remarkable reputation.

There are many reasons for choosing regular attending graduation.

1-Direct contact with faculties

The biggest advantage of this mode of education is the direct contact with experienced professors. Students get an opportunity to have a one-on-one discussion with faculties. The professors have the solution to every query and problem of the students.

2-Atmosphere of learning

Ambience plays an important role while learning. It adds to learner’s strength and willingness to learn. Regular attending graduation gives proper atmosphere where a student can learn and recognize his full potential which increases efficiency. In this regard, distance graduation has a major drawback as neither can it generate the campus spirit nor can it give proper classroom situation.

3-Source of motivation

Regular attending graduation provides constant cheer and jeers to every student. They are fully motivated on a day-to-day basis so that they can achieve their target and goals. While in distance education, one has to motivate oneself.

4-High acceptance in job market

Students with a regular degree are given more importance than the one with distance education degree in the job market. Having a regular degree often provides for greater promotion opportunity. It helps students to acquire well-paid jobs.

5-Cultivation of professional attitude

This type of learning germinates professional attitude in students. They are given the pressure of completing targets and meeting deadlines through which students can learn professionalism. In this aspect, not going to college but studying from home is a major setback.

6- Social Interaction

Regular attending graduation gives students an opportunity to socialize and make new friends that they could not have met if they were not enrolled in a college. As they interact with new people from different cultures, they learn to embrace diversity and remove stereotypes associated with some cultures.

Also, this interaction helps to grow in a much better ways as one can learn from his/her fellow students. Learning together creates an environment of competition which ultimately benefited the student.

In the end, it’s better to say that correspondence course will cover up for the Bachelor’s degree, but not the practical issues one might face in the real world.

Often heard about motivation, Isn’t it? But what actually is motivation and how it works?

We, at Kailasha foundation, care about the students’ mental state as well, boards are approaching and many of the students need motivation. For motivation, it is not necessary to give long lectures or stories. If we know what it is and how it work any of us can help students around.

What is Motivation?

Motivation refers to a state of a person that directs the behaviour of the individual towards certain goals.

Some students seem naturally enthusiastic about learning, but many need or expect their instructors to inspire, challenge and stimulate them.

According to Erickson, 1978:
“Effective learning in the classroom depends on the teacher’s ability to maintain the interest that brought the students to the course in the first place”. For example, A teacher using different methods of teaching a concept will make the student more curious and motivated towards it in comparison to a teacher who simply uses board and chalk method.

Whereas, Sass, 1989 said that “Not all the students are motivated by same values, needs, desires or wants. Some of your students will be motivated by approval of others, some by overcoming challenges”. Here I would like to like you about two of our students. We were teaching them about chemical bonds and they seemed less interested. Being one of their important subjects, we had to motivate them. The problem was Same but we couldn’t handle them with the same method. We gave them a quiz, one of them was excited and thus got motivated to study while the other one was still uninterested.

General strategies for Motivation:

1. Make students participate actively in learning

The best way is to involve them in the process of learning. Students learn better by doing, making, writing, designing, creating and solving. Passivity surely dampens students motivation and curiosity.

Here are some points which the teacher should know –

  • Teacher’s enthusiasm
  • Relevance of the material
  • Organisation of the course
  • Appropriate difficulty level of the material
  • Active involvement of students
  • Variety
  • Rapport between students and teacher
  • Use of appropriate, concrete and understandable examples

2. Feedback

This is really important as this helps the students to analyse their abilities. This should be done as soon as test/challenges are because it keeps the interest intact.

3. Reward Success –

Both negative and positive comments influence motivation, but research clearly says students are more affected by positive feedback and rewards.

The rewards don’t always need to be a medal or trophy. Appraising or small inexpensive gifts can also do it. For example, a nursery student feels happiest when the teacher rewards them with a star or smiley whereas a class 10 student will be happy when praised during the class or assembly time even by claps.

3. Negative/demeaning comments

Frequently seen the teacher drains their frustration on students by giving negative feedbacks. In this case what we can do is avoiding too sensitive comments and instead encourage the students by giving them a new task and hence motivating them to do better.
One can also try daily motivation quotes, such as:

4. Providing the plate full

Not all students are average, some are lazy to solve/find solutions or write/frame answers. We rob their chance to think about the question and its solution. We can ask the students what is their thought about the questions, what are facts they know about it and what facts are not cleared. Clear their doubts and then ask them to build the answer. This will surely enhance their thought and work process. Then praise them for their efforts to keep them motivated.

5. Pressure and Success stories

Due to the highly competitive world, almost 99% of the students face peer pressure to do excellent. Here we should explain to them why are the parents concerned? What are their pressuring methods and correct the parents as well if needed?

We should also share the success stories because that definitely increases their inner efforts to reach their goals. Success is not easy, by sharing such stories we may make them feel you are not only the one on the path of hard work and your hard work will surely pay off.

All we need is to help them to experience the sense of achievement and increase their confidence so as to keep them motivated.

Learning with fun is the concept and Kailasha Foundation – Fun & Learn Portal is doing endeavours in that directions on daily basis.
