YouTubing
Nowadays digital awareness is growing rapidly as the internet and 4G have become reasonably cheap. YouTube’s popularity also got a boost around the world and it would keep getting more popular for sure. Youtubing is on the role.
Google’s unified login idea made YouTube’s popularity more obvious. If you have an android phone and you logged into ‘play store’ means you automatically logged into every Google account including the most addictive one YouTube. This is how Google is creating a public base for YouTube. The old YouTube we knew is nowhere now moreover,  it has evolved into something more like a play-anywhere multi-channel network.
It has become a public utility – a mammoth hard drive in which 300 hours of videos are uploaded every minute. Around 1,300,000,000 people use YouTube globally furthermore almost 5 billion videos are watched on YouTube every single day. This popularity and huge public base of YouTube opened a new career option for innovative minds.
Let us dwell a bit deeper into the discussion coupled with my opinions on the pros and cons of YouTube as a career option.

WHY YOUTUBING IS WORTHY OF BEING CHOSEN AS A CAREER OPTION?

It Offers You To Choose Your Passion Aa Your Career

22 years old Sejal Kumar feels her degree of Economics Graduate from Lady Shree Ram College of Commerce is useless as she chose her passion and became Fashion & Life Style sensation on YouTube. Her channel named after herself got 1.1 Lakh subscribers and 11.3 million views.
In the case of Sejal, you can see her passion supported by YouTube led her to get a handy amount of money, popularity and above all 100% job satisfaction. YouTube is a place where you can present your talent for which you are passionate about and get paid off.

Hurray! Professional Achievements And Degree Is Not Required To Become A Youtube Star

If you are a social media freak, you can’t say that you don’t know Bhuvan Bam. Bhuvan won most popular channel award for ‘BB ki Vines’ at WebTV Asia Awards 2016. The ‘BB ki Vines’ fame was a bar performer he used to play music until late hours to earn a living. He hadn’t any professional achievement either in comedy or music but had enough potential to make a breakthrough.  All he needed was a stage to bring what he can do in front of the world.

YouTube gave him a stage and he made it. Bhuvan has 4.6 million subscribers and 627 million total views as on 19th Oct 2017. If you know Bhuvan Bam. Not to mention Shirley Setia also won’t be a strange name for you. She describes herself as “A tiny one with not so tiny dreams”.
Shirley, a kiwi denizen of Indian Origin is a 21-something singer and is already a sensation on YouTube. She has 2 lakh subscribers on her channel where she posts covers of Bollywood chartbusters. She hadn’t any tag or special recognition too. YouTube has proved that to a become successful face you don’t need any degree or tag.  All you need is, to be the master in the particular topic or area.

Don’t Take Load, You Are A Freelancer

I think this is the best reason why you should choose Youtubing as a career. You don’t need to wake up early, dress up, reach office in time. Relax, if you chose YouTube as your career you are a freelancer, you don’t need even an Office. You can start it from anywhere, you don’t have any work pressure, you don’t have boundations.
You just need to be perfect in marketing and master in your area. This freedom of work makes it convenient for every type and class of people.

WHAT KIND OF PROBLEMS WE FACE WHEN CHOOSE YOUTUBING AS A CAREER?

• The fact cannot be denied that India has one of the largest Internet user bases in the world but it lacks awareness about YouTube as a career option. It would be quite difficult to convince your family and society that you are opting YouTube for your career, they may get panic or deny at once.
• As we know there are millions who start their YouTube channels every year most of them do not belong to well-off families most of them are financially weak. These people are unable to purchase the required equipment and technical stuff for making a good quality video. Those people who start their channel with lacking technical, SEO & community guidelines knowledge most of the just stop uploading the video at the initial stage itself.
• It takes around 5-12 month duration to run successfully a YouTube channel. It takes time but as there is a huge viewer base on YouTube, you got a good chance.
• If you are choosing YouTube as your career one thing you should know is, your content ideas can easily be copied and the one who pirated your content can get more views then you.

MY OPINION ON CHOOSING YOUTUBING AS A CAREER OPTION

Every field in this world has some good aspects and some drawbacks but we choose our career path on the basis of where we want to see ourselves in this world, what do we expect from ourselves.

There is no career path in this world which don’t have any drawback but in the case of Youtubing as a career, you can show your gut to face these drawbacks because if you become a successful Youtuber, it can give you money, popularity, stardom and above all job satisfaction. It allows you to do what you love. I would recommend people to choose YouTube as a career because this will encourage Entrepreneurship in India. I strongly believe YouTubing is worthy & emerging career option today.
