Have you ever wondered, how your internet security works?

Where is your privacy?

If your internet connection is secured?

Why, even in such a modern time, hacking is a piece of cake?

And most of all, who’s at fault?

So, the answer to the question is, we are the ones at fault.

You must be thinking, why I started with blaming everyone? It is because I want to draw your attention to the most neglected, yet the most important point, ‘internet security and one’s privacy’.

You’ll think that you have been doing your best when it comes to security concerns, but if you are not using VPN, you are not aware of the true threat out there and the potential solutions to it. Living in the era of internet, it has become a must to secure your network and VPN is the only possible solution.

WHAT IS A VPN?

VPN (digital private network) is a group of computers (or discrete networks) networked collectively over a public community—namely, the internet. Organizations use VPNs to attach far off information facilities, and people can use VPNs to access network assets on the LAN (local area community), or as a way of securing and encrypting their communications after using an untrusted public network.

When you connect to a VPN, you generally launch a VPN client on your PC (or click a link to a unique internet site), log in together with your credentials, and your laptop exchanges depends on the keys with miles away server. Once each computer has demonstrated each and every bit properly, all of your internet verbal exchange is coded and secured from eavesdropping.

In simple words, VPN is a service that secures your privacy on the internet and offers you a secure web browsing.

THE VPN WORKING PROCESS:

The exceptional manner to consider a VPN is a comfortable tunnel among your computer and destinations you go to on the net. Your pc connects to a VPN server, which can be positioned in the USA or an overseas just like the France, UK, Sweden, or Thailand. Your website visitors then pass backward and forward thru that server. The result: when most websites are concerned, you’re browsing from that server’s geographical location, not your PC’s vicinity.

The result: when most websites are concerned, you’re browsing from that server’s geographical location, not your PC’s vicinity.

Once you’re connected to the VPN and are “in the tunnel,” it turns to be very hard for everybody else to intrude on your web-browsing activity. The only people who know your activities are you, the VPN provider (generally an HTTPS connection can mitigate this), and the internet site you’re landing on. A VPN is like a secure tunnel for a web search.

While you’re on public Wi-Fi at an airport or café, hackers may have a more difficult time stealing your login credentials or redirecting your laptop to a phony banking web site. Your Internet Service Provider (ISP), or all people else looking to spy on you, may even not have a possible time figuring out which websites you’re visiting.

And more on it, you enjoy the advantage of spoofing your own location. If you’re in San Francisco, for instance, and the VPN server is inside the United Kindem, it’s going to look to most websites which you’re surfing from there, no longer San Francisco only, but whole California.

This is why many domestically constrained websites and online services which include BBC’s iPlayer or Sling tv can be fooled via a VPN. I say “most” services because some, most notably Netflix, are fighting against VPN (ab)use to prevent human beings from gaining access to, say, the Australian version of Netflix after they’re surely in America

Most of all, if you’re traveling Belgium and connect with a U.S. VPN server, you get access to maximum American websites and services just as if you had been sitting at a Starbucks in Chicago.

 TYPES OF VPNs:

VPN products can be segmented into 3 categories:

  • Firewall-primarily based VPNs make use of firewall’s safety mechanisms and don’t let them get admitted to the internal network. They perform address translation; fulfil robust authentication necessities; real-time alarms and big logging.
  • Hardware-based VPNs offer the best network among all VPN systems .There is no processor overhead as there is no operating system or other applications. Most hardware-based VPN systems are encrypting routers. Nevertheless, of the protocol, the traffic is tunneled through hardware products.

Top hardware VPN applications provide software- only customers for faraway installation and encompass get right of entry to manage capabilities controlled by firewalls or different perimeter security devices.

  • Standalone VPN utility packages provide the maximum flexibility in how network site visitors are controlled. It permits visitors to be tunneled primarily based on protocol. The best situation is when both the backend are not controlled by the same business enterprise e.g. patron support, commercial enterprise partners. Also suitable while distinctive firewalls and routers are implemented within the same employer.

SECURITY OF DATA:

The focus of VPN components is encryption. The intention is to limit entry to the appropriate users and hosts and to make sure that the facts transmitted over the internet is encrypted in order that handiest legal system hosts and remote customers see the records. A VPN provides whole end-to-end packet encryption. The technique used to wrap encrypted payloads with overtly study headers is called tunneling. As soon as connected, a VPN opens at ease tunnel, in which content material is encapsulated and encrypted and the users are authenticated.

LIMITATIONS AND RISKS OF VPN

  • HACKING ATTACKS

–   Man in the middle attacks.

–    VPN Hijacking

  • RISKS FROM CLIENT’S END
  • AUTHENTICATION OF USER
  • MALWARE INFECTIONS OR VIRUS
  • RIGHTS TO INCORRECT NETWORK ACCESS

SECURITY FEATURES IN VPN PRODUCTS

A few security features to look for when choosing a VPN product:

  1.  Strong authentication support, e.g. smart cards / tokens, TACACS+,   RADIUS.
  2. Strong encryption algorithms proven by the industry, with support to protect data confidentiality while transmission.
  3. Prevention features/ intrusion detection and support for anti-virus software.
  4. Robust default safety for all management / preservation ports.
  5. Digital certificate support, such as the usage of certificate for website online to web page authentication
  6. Address management support, which include the capability to assign a client deal at the non-public network and ensuring all addresses are kept private.

PREFERRED VPN SERVICE PROVIDERS IN 2017

  • IPVanish
  • ExpressVPN
  • VyprVPN

Read about Photography – One of the Best Career Option

We usually get confused between the job profiles and types of photography.  A Job profile may consider more than one type of photography. Firstly we’ll discuss the types and then the profiles because in the end what matters is how you’ll learn from it.

There are mainly 6 types of photography. That is as follows:

Landscape Photography

If nature is where you belong to and every beautiful part of it makes you stop and adore it, you are the perfect fit for this type of photography. Landscape photography is the art of capturing the beauty of nature in a single photograph.

Wildlife Photography

Your love for animals and studying their behavior is the key ingredient for this type of photography. Exploring the jungles with a lot of adventure. No, not always about the jungle, but yes, it is a part. A wildlife photographer has to face many challenges, but once they get the click they have desired for, it’s worth it.

Portrait Photography

It is most demanding in the market. This type of photography focuses on expressions, poses and to define the mood. It could be on an individual, two or a family. Aspiring models opt for such clicking style for their portfolios. There are many portrait photographers in the market already. So, it has a tough competition.

Architectural Photography

Capturing the beauty of architecture from the ancient one of the houses for the business purposes comes under this category. The beauty of the monuments being pictured in the tourist books and clicking tourists is a huge business. Also the when it comes to commercial, structures of buildings from different angles for selling point of view.

Wedding Photography

The most known and looked down on the type of photography is wedding photography, but we don’t know that it all depends on the clients, the venue and the studio. Today, wedding photography concerns a lot of people and they look for the best. There is a misconception that anyone can do it as it is the most done but it’s not so. Usually, photographers start their career with the wedding or event photography because, it is one of the most growing sectors these days and has a lot of vacancies. But for it, one has to be mastered in portrait type of photography and should possess great editing skills. Because afterall we usually marry once in a lifetime.

Fashion Photography

Photography done for fashion magazines and articles comes under this category. It is basically capturing the style and sensational looks of the models. They are being captured while ramp walking, portraits and even celebrity photography.

Here, we are clear with the types of photography one should know. In our next article, we’ll talk about the job profiles and the types that are usually used in it. How will they concern any individual and the quality of career they promise.

Though anyone can do it, but not everyone can.

Confused? Your confusion will be cleared soon. Photography is not just a technique to click pictures, but it’s an art and so a craft both at the same time. In this article, we’ll talk about the misconceptions about photography as a career.

So, you might be thinking I changed the topic. Don’t worry, I didn’t really. Okay, I did, but getting back to it. Photography is really an easy thing to do, but professional one is not everyone’s cup of it. It requires a true passion to learn and to practice it the right way. We have an end number of schools today that teach us the subject ‘Photography’, but no teacher can actually teach the skills one needs to be a professional and a true photographer. It comes from within and obviously a lot of practice. So, anyone carrying a DSLR, snapping around is a not truly a photographer, so don’t let them fool you that they are professionals. Professionals don’t usually do it for free, just like that. They don’t brag about it. Let me give you a tour to the misconceptions of photography as a career and clear the doubt a little more.

HOBBYISTS ARE COMPETITION!

So, we know there are a lot of photographers out there. Where would be our chance to earn? Whether they are amateur or professional, they click and they are paid. THEY ARE COMPETITION!

No, they are not. The biggest misconception we have in terms of photography as a career option. Competition? They are not anywhere near you if you take it seriously. How? They are paid anyhow. That’s what you are thinking. Right? The photography industry is huge. And in every little aspect of life, whether social or personal, we need photographers. We need every single moment to be captured. Yes, they try and sometimes get paid too, but the aspirations from the pictures a client possess are higher than anyone can imagine. The hobbyists seek jobs as professionals do, but they do not survive for long because they lack the amount of patience, practice, skills, and passion that is required. So, don’t judge it from outside. There are too many but not as many as we need today.

MANY ASPIRANTS; LESS WORK

Yes, there are a lot and lot of aspirants. But the work is no less either. Like I said, it’s a huge industry, bigger than any other out there, bigger than we could even imagine. Your interest might lead you to a specific branch or many, but there will always be space for more photographers.

THE GLAMOROUS GLAMOR PHOTOGRAPHY

A Famous phrase says, ‘A little learning is a dangerous thing; drink deep, or taste not the Pierian Spring’, true that.  When aspiring photographers to be get an Idea of what the industries are like, they tend to go for glamor world like any other person would desire to, unaware of the fact this industry is not as glamorous as it looks like. Fashion or Bollywood, any of the two requires as the number of efforts and there would be no more of the entertainment as in any other photography field. Photography is the same everywhere. Don’t choose it just for glamor sake. Go for it if you really wish to. No extra money or fame is made.

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS ARE LESS THAN ANY OTHER

No field in photography is any less than any other, neither does it is any less paid. We are in a misconception that wedding photographers are seen down on, but it’s not true. It simply depends on the studio’s goodwill as any other company’s. For example, a local watch will always cost less and preferred less than a branded one. Same with the studios the photographers work in. But it doesn’t mean one shouldn’t go for a smaller one. We can start our career with a less known studio because it is the place where you can learn more than anywhere else.

THE VACANCIES ARE MORE FOR WEDDING AND LESS FOR OTHER BRANCHES

Every single field in photography has more or less the same number of vacancies available. It’s just that event and wedding photographers are the ones most seen. When compared to other branches of photography, these photographers are front line photographers and others are simply not, but all the field plays an excessively important role and is of their own kind.

NO JOB CERTAINTY

Freelancing is a good option too for if you wish to be your boss, but there is no income certainty. Freelance photography is the same as any other freelance work. Don’t be fooled with the thought that photography is majorly done on freelancing and no permanent jobs are available. It’s not true. Photography is the same as any other profession, we know. It too has well promising permanent jobs and there is a lot of it. Freelance is nothing but an option, not a necessity.

So, if you are an aspiring photographer, but are confused whether should choose it as a career option or not. No need to think anymore because photography is really an interesting field and it might take you to places if you will to. All the best!

Game Design and Web Design are somehow connected but still are two entirely different fields. When we say Game Design, we think of video games, designing is, all that has to be done. But it’s not all, it requires a lot of programming and so does web designing.

The world of design is huge, Choose what interests you and just go for it.

Game Design:

A game is a whole new world in which, when the player enters, it becomes a part of it. That sort of game is a successful game and it depends upon the game design. The success of a game is totally dependent on the design of the game. So, a game designing team is the most important part of it.

Game design is a process of designing a video game from the scratch to the level of its full representation. It includes a story, story boarding, graphics, and character design, set design, animation and sometimes programming too.

What is basically required is a knowledge in computer animation, Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) and creative writing and in some companies programming too. In some companies, computer designers and programmers are different, though work in the same team and in some they are the same. It’s always preferable to have some programming (C++) knowledge before stepping into the video game designing industry (usually it comes under game development, but it is preferable to know).

Web Design:

The internet is full of creativity that is increasing day by day. Types of websites, blogs, portals, e-commerce than the graphics, logos, videos and there is a lot. It is itself a world in its own. Today, we cannot imagine a life without internet. The web designer is the one who designs everything you see on the internet.

The job of a web designer is designing interface, web graphic design, navigation ergonomics, website layout, website structure, contrasts, fonts, colors, imagery, animation, videos, icons design and information architecture. People generally get confused between web design and development. So, I’d like to put it simply, the one who designs everything in a software like Photoshop or any graphic software is a web designer and the one who basically runs it on the server with the help of Html, CSS, PHP and other programming languages, is a web developer.

Difference between the career in Web Design and Game Design:

The difference between a web designer and a game designer is not very huge, yet very specific. There are a number of basic skills that are the same in both the fields. Here, what matters is your interest area. Though the number of required web designers is more than game designers, the difference is not really huge. A person with these skills can opt for any of the two career options and can become a professional.

Both the career options are equally promising and advantageous,it depends on the person that what interests him more.

We have always been in a dilemma, what should we go for, a desktop or a laptop? It simply depends on our use. If you want to run the heavy software and high – end hardware, what works better is the question.

Let’s talk about the pros and cons of a desktop and a laptop to decide what should be preferred.

Laptops:

Starting with a laptop, when we are looking for high- end specifications with expandable hardware and heavy softwares, laptops are not a good choice.

Pros:

  • Portable
  • Less power consumption.
  • Less space consumption.

Cons:

  • No easy up gradation and not everything can be upgraded.
  • Pre customized.
  • Expensive if compared to an equivalent desktop.
  • Vulnerable to damage.
  • Can be lost easily or stolen.
  • High maintenance cost.
  • Short life span.

Desktops:

Pros:

  • Add ons.
  • Less costly.
  • Long Life span.
  • Repaired easily.
  • Less crashing.
  • Supports high-end hardware and software.
  • Less likely to get damaged.
  • Can be customized anytime as required.

Cons:

  • Not portable.
  • Space consumption.

After talking about the pros and cons of laptops and desktop, we can say that a desktop should be preferred over a laptop if one has to go for a high –end customization and heavy software.  Laptops are efficient only if you have a light work to do or you travel often. Even for gaming, a laptop could be of the same configuration as a desktop, but is expensive and is difficult to upgrade further. Laptops can’t be upgraded or repaired at home as many of them are very sensitive in nature. If it consumes less space, it lacks on hardware, ram etc. There are really no limitations to the ad on of a desktop like keyboard, mouse, fans or anything and everything.

For engineers or any professional who has to work on a high-end PC, Desktops are highly recommended.

If you want to run the heavy software and high – end hardware, Desktops are the best choice because they not only can be upgraded easily and whenever you like, but does not crash as much. Spending your money on an expensive laptop and then getting it changed after a few years is not worth the money or the time unless portability is your priority. So, Desktop is the choice for you.

Where one intent to serve, Growth and success are assured.

Planning to build a career in Hotel Management? Don’t know about the field and colleges? Here, Kailasha Foundation comes with the solution. Read it in our article. Hotel management is the area of managing all the operational aspects of hotels by hoteliers. It is widely divided into four different departments.

  • Food Production
  • Food and Beverages Service/ food Production service (F&G)
  • House Keeping
  • Front Office

The hospitality industry is very wide and has a lot of opportunities of growing as it is the most growing sectors. More the nations are developing, tourism and hotel management is coming into light. There are already a certain number of hotels in the world and the number is only increasing.

As Hotel Management is a very booming career option these days, we have a lot of good colleges for the same. Generally, with the degree of Hotel Management, most of the colleges provide a course of Tourism also as an additional subject.

The Top 10 institutes in India are as follows:

  1. Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development, Delhi.

Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development is the best college in India for Hotel management, but it is really difficult to get in. It offers a three-year program known as STEP (Systematic Training and Education Program) with a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism from IGNOU. Fees are not required to be paid instead students get the stipend for the work they do, but, it is very difficult to get selected as they prefer cream students, but if you think you can make it, then no other college is any better.
