subject and predicate

Subject and predicate are important parts of any sentence. A subject is what the sentence is about and the predicate further describes the subject. When we make a complete sentence, we name any person or thing and say something related to that particular person or thing.

So, a sentence contains a subject about which the predicate is.
Sentence – The part of a sentence which names the person or thing we speak about.
Predicate – Something about the sentence.
The subject of a sentence comes first but sometimes, it comes after the predicate.
1. Here comes the train.
2. Sweet are the pangs of adversity.
In case of imperative sentences, the subject isn’t added.
