We believe, fortunate is the one who possesses money in the shell, Neglecting the fact, that Health is Wealth.

Money is no doubt needed more than anything else, but it can’t be earned unless one is physically and mentally fit. Yes, we are talking about health here, the most important yet neglected thing to look upon. Leading a luxurious life is not just a matter of prosperity but well-being.

We have heard the typical aphorism ‘HEALTH IS WEALTH’ but how many of us take it seriously?

According to the WHO data from the Global Health Observatory, The Probability of dying between 15 and 60 years m/f (per 1 000 population, 2013) in India is 239/158. The total expenditure on health per capita (Intl $, 2013) is 215 i.e., 4% of the total per capita income (reference:  http://www.who.int/countries/ind/en/) and as per the recent survey, ‘Social Consumption in India: Health’, by the National Sample Survey Office’, in a rural area 89 per 1000 persons reported illness against 118 in urban areas. (Reference: with fewer sick people, Bharath is healthier than India. Business line. Retrieved from: http://m.thehindubusinessline.com/news/variety/with-fewer-sick-people-bharath-healthier-than-india/article7375436.ece).

Looking at the condition of illness in the country, our nation, all over the world is being portrayed as weak instead of called strong in spite of being a fairly rich state. It clearly shows that wealth is just like the diamond in the coal mine which is unless polished by health can’t attain its true value.

Now the question arises, if health is so important, why we humans neglect it the most? It is because our health is the most loyal friend of ours. It makes us go to work until we reach the extreme whereas wealth comes to us with the struggle and its typical human behavior to exfoliate what comes naturally, but we don’t understand that once it’s gone, no wealth is going to help us survive.

While talking about good health being the most valuable part of us, it is necessary to talk about how to attain it. Good health means fit body and healthy mind. It’s not only restricted to physical fitness, mental fitness is even more important which can be attained with simple steps like regular exercising, healthy food intake, regular and consistent water intake, taking care of hygiene, escaping from the mental stress and the most important of all, smiling in all circumstances. Looking forward to these simple yet most effective things leads to a joyful life.

Money can’t buy happiness. If we earn good but aren’t healthy, no money can make us feel good, whereas a low income, but a good and healthy lifestyle can lead to immense happiness with true pleasure to enjoy what we already have. Never compromise health over anything because as we know and till now have understood, ‘Health is true wealth’.

What Is Magickal is Not Always Evil and Grim, But Usually Misconceived.

OCCULT

Occult is a mystical, supernatural, or magical powers, practices, or phenomena. It is termed as the knowledge that is hidden or meant for specific people, but for most specific occultists it is the study of a deeper spritual reality that extends beyind pure reason and physical science.

It is not an alien thing to anyone, but people don’t know that they practice a part or other of occult every single day. It plays a significant role in our day to day life, but once the word occult or magick (or there are many terms to mention) barges in, there is an awkward assumption that occult is either dark or non-existing.

occult

Conspiracy theory, rumor, Bollywood, Hollywood, and the entertainment industry has carried a wrapped picture of occult studies. It is often used as the synonym of demon worship, black magick and it has a long list of the same. It is not evil but totally misunderstood due to lack of knowledge.

The truth is, the word occult means ‘hidden’, which is why people have very less knowledge about it.

The Study of Hidden Knowledge is known as occultism (or occult studies).

Why hidden?

A Few of the many reasons are stated below:

The initiates with proper preparation are offered the knowledge that is hidden from the sacred knowledge shouldn’t be revealed to common populace.

The recognition and acceptance of knowledge of energy, reals or abilities are very rare among the general populace. Magick is considered to be the only definition of the occult. In the wider aspect, anything paranormal or supernatural is also included.

Occultism has become roughly synonymous with mystical and esoteric. The two far less baleful expressions are often used in all the religions with the unknown practice of occult.

There are numerous practices around all over the world that might be identified as the occult. There are innumerable paths to the occult and many occultists follow multiple paths in their practices which makes it difficult to generalize occult.

Not moving further with a deep exposition, a brief is stated below as occult is a very wide subject to be explained. It is simply classified into two categories:

  1. The occult science

Sensational Journalism: The Yellow Journalism

Yellow journalism is a face of journalism best known for highlighting little or no legitimate news that includes exaggeration, sensationalism and scandals over the genuine news.

Some call it ‘fake news’ or ‘exploitive news reporting’ and some call it the ‘sensational reporting’. It is said that today, media has adopted the yellow journalism face over the actual journalism ethics and elements.

“Yellow journalism” cartoon about Spanish–American War of 1898 (Independence Seaport Museum).

Roots of Yellow Journalism:

It started establishing its roots in the end of the 19th century, from 1895 to 1898 due to the conflicts between the rival newspaper publishers regarding the competition for sales during the Spanish- American War in 1898. William Randolph Hearst, publisher of the New York Morning Journal, and Joseph Pulitzer, publisher of the New York World, took advantage of the turmoil in Cuba and came up with exaggerated stories and exploited reporting. They started fabricating the truth and presented news in the form that was more exciting than genuine to provoke the interest of the public, which even turned to absolutely no true details at all.

According to Frank Luther Mott, a well-known Journalist of that time, the yellow journalism is based on the following categories:

  1. Scare headlines in huge print, often of minor news
  2. Lavish use of pictures, or imaginary drawings
  3. Use of faked interviews, misleading headlines, pseudoscience, and a parade of false learning from so-called experts
  4. Emphasis on full-color Sunday supplements, usually with comic strips
  5. Dramatic sympathy with the “underdog” against the system.

Yellow Journalism in India:

Being originated in America, Yellow Journalism has spread to the world and India is no exception to it.  Not only the news channels and the newspapers are impacted, but the new media is also experiencing a huge impact of fake and sensational news reporting. It has been practised in the favour of earning money and attracting more and more audience ignoring the originality and genuineness of the news covered. All is done just to grab an audience and convert traffic.

The 4th pillar of democracy has become the weakest and fake aspect of democracy that public trust blindly.

Some of the recent examples of Yellow Journalism in India are:

Television Journalism:

These are a few Television based examples of Yellow journalism. These types of news are more interest based than true.

For the same reason, a channel named India TV was in question for a long period of time for a news ‘DELHI ME GIRI BARAF’ from a cycle.

Newspaper Journalism:

The newspaper took advantage of a serious situation to make the news.

The hype of Arushi murder case by media.

New media:

Instead of stating the seriousness of the boy’s death, it is reported that he was a fan of Gautam Gambhir and his journey.

Here, the news is no good to be reported.

The news of an AAP worker Jasleen Kaur accusing a boy of molesting her. The media hyped the news more than required with the tags demanding justice for the girl. Later on, the allegation were proved wrong.

The internet and social media have become a serious contributor to the yellow journalism promotion. There are so many recent examples that all of them can’t even be stated as it’s more than a lot in number. Daily something new is trending and is forgotten the other day.

Conclusion:

Media is the 4th Pillar of Democracy and with the position it holds, it carries a level of responsibility and it has no right to not act in accordance with the given authority.

What we are looking forward to, is, how will the rote be cured and who will take responsibility? If the authorities come up with a code of conduct, it is always opposed and is never practised. There should be some code against the news that is published and that the media should practice.

Digital marketing has become a necessity for web or any present running business. SEO and SEM go hand in hand, but a good SEO planning, alone can achieve great results. SEO Hack techniques and tools can help further more and more. Here, in this article, we will be discussing the possible and easy ways to achieve successful SEO with the help of a few hacks.

SEO hacks can be achieved only if one knows what is SEO and how does it works. Keep in mind that when we are discussing about the hacks, we are only stating the most efficient, effective and easy ways to achieve SEO targets, it’s not the whole SEO process. Let’s understand the term SEO a little-

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. The name is itself a definition. It means optimizing search engine i.e. making the search engine read your website and bring it to the end user in the search results.

SEO hacks are basically using the SEO tricks in such a way that makes it all the way easier to convert audience or traffic. Let’s know how and what are they. The spider of google crawls through the websites and looks for the queries and image tags related to the search and displays the most appropriate results to the end user.

Let’s discuss why Search Engine Optimization is important and then we’ll talk about the hacks to it.

There are a lot many reasons that planning SEO is an important part of marketing, a few are stated below:

  1. 93% of traffic is converted by Search Engine.

SEO hacks

  1. SEO leads convert 14.6% more traffic than that of only 1.7% for outbound leads ( pamphlets, print ads etc)

  1. 60% of clicks are converted through top three websites in search engine results.

SEO hacks

  1. 50% of queries are either 4 words or longer.

Once we have discussed the importance of search engine optimization, we are moving forward to the possible SEO hacks:

  1. USE FREE SEO TOOLS:

We should understand that we don’t have to spend money for SEO tools. While working on SEO, even SEO experts ignore the value of available free SEO tools on the web. The thinking that, free is not worth using is not always correct. The SEO tools available are one of the best tools in the market. To state a few:

Google Analytics: https://analytics.google.com/analytics/web/provision/?authuser=0#provision/SignUp/

SEO hacks

It states the website’s status and is used to keep a track on the landing pages and search queries being performed in SERPs. It simply shows the keywords used for the search which helps in monitoring the website’s status and the choice of words that should be used.

Google AdWords: https://adwords.google.com/home/

SEO hacks

It is a platform for advertising your website or campaign which works on a per click basis and is a thorough keyword planner which is known as, Google AdWord Keyword Planner. Though it is not considered as a free tool, most of us are not aware of the fact that if we ask for the free package, Google gives it for free for a period of three months. If it is not a lifetime commitment, at least we can know if it’s working for us or not, before spending any money on it.

Google Webmaster Tools: https://www.google.com/webmasters/#?modal_active=none

SEO hacks

You can track your site’s search performance with the help of Google Search Console and monitoring URL errors. It has a lot more functions that can be enjoyed.

There are much more off Google free tools that can be used like SEO Analyzer tool, Yoast, SEMRush etc.

  1. DON’T USE HUGE IMAGES:

An image brings the audience to the website, but huge size images can drive away audience within a few seconds. The stats show that

  • If the website takes 2 seconds to load, conversions fall by 50%.
  • Further, for every extra second, 12% fall in conversion takes place.

Huge images should be avoided.

  1. STAY AWAY FROM THE 404 ERROR/ BROKEN LINKS:

The site not found the error is the most unworthy setback and is very irritating to the target audience. After investing their time, they are not at all willing to see a 404 error page. So make sure, there are no broken links on your website.

  1. ENABLE COMMENTS INFLOW:

Why to play old school if we can easily be modern and user-friendly?

Let the audience involve and put in their inputs as much as you can so that it will make a two-way communication that will help you enhance your quality and satisfy them as well. It makes the website user-friendly. If people are able to share their opinion and can communicate their thoughts easily, they prefer that platform more. This is one of the main reasons that social media is so popular.

  1. MAKE SOCIAL HUBS AND FORUMS YOUR PLATFORM TO KEYWORD RESEARCH:

Keep an eye on the related social media pages and forums and make a list of frequently used words to come up with trending words related to your business and use them as your keywords.

This hack will make you learn the words most used, as per your requirement. Make it a regular activity.

  1. USE INFOGRAPHICS

An Infographic holds the audience the most as a visual data is always more compelling and a quality medium of communication. It includes Data, Graphics and complex information and is presented in a creative manner. It holds complex and lengthy information in a simple visual form.

animation

This is one of my infographics on myths and facts about animation.

  1. COPY YOUR HIGH RANKED COMPETITORS:

All you have to do is copy your high ranked competitors as we all are aware of, ‘Good artists create, great artists steal’, a widely known saying.

Combining both what you know and how your competitors work could come out to be a highly developed website.

Many tools are available for the same, few of them could be – similarpages.com, similarweb.com and many more.

  1. USE ENGAGING AND EVERGREEN CONTENT:

Keep your content precise and to the point so that it won’t take much time of the audience and convey the message at the same time. But don’t lose your accuracy in making it short.

The less time they’ll have to invest, the more reliable source you’ll become.

CONCLUSION:

There could be endless hacks, here we have stated a few. Try and learn more about it by experiencing it, that way things will be way easier.

Use as many hacks as you can because Search Engines never demotivate effective SEO techniques.

Don’t be dependent on these hacks, SEO might sound an easy topic, but takes a lot of efforts once you start working.

Replicate the success of high ranked websites by working more and more on it.

Good Luck!

In the previous article, we studied about the Pre-Production stage of any 3-D animation project. In continuation of that, we will read about the next two stages viz. PRODUCTION and POST PRODUCTION.

PRODUCTION:

Once the pre-production part is over, the project lands on the making of the animation, where all the work from modelling to lighting is done.

The steps are as follows:

  1. MODELLING:

Designing the structure of anything is modeling.

This step is the first step of the production process. It includes designing each and everything that is to be used in the animation. Modelling could be done with any 3-D animation software, but Autodesk Maya is widely used. Modelling artists closely observe the 2-D image or illustrations and convert it to 3-D models with high details.

Modelling is of two types:

  • Organic Modelling- The organic modelers model all the free-form surfaces. In simple words, organic modeling is modeling a character or any living thing.
  • Inorganic- It is the opposite of organic modeling. It is hard surfaced modeling. The buildings, vehicles, weapons and all the kinds of props, come under this category.

organic modeling

Organic Modelling.

After modeling is done, the next step is skinning. As an organic model is a skeleton of the character, skinning is a must for further texturing and rigging to bring up reality.

  1. SHADING & TEXTURING:

Shading= Mono color

Texturing= more than one color

Shading and texturing deals with the physical appearance of the models. It is providing colors and textures and giving roughness, smoothness, bump, marks etc., whatever is required. The textures are either made from scratch or an existing image is called, the texturing artist is responsible for texturing and writing shaders as per the requirement.

UV mapping

UV Mapping

The textures are painted as maps that are assigned to the model.

  1. RIGGING:

Rigging is a setup of controllers of a model to make it work. It is defining the working and the movement of the character and making the setup of bones for organic models so that they can be further animated.

face rig

Face Rig with all the controllers.

Body rig

Body Rig

In some studios, the rigging department is also responsible for cloth simulation.

  1. ANIMATION:

The animation could be defined as, ‘putting life to a character’ or ‘Moving a dead object’.

This is a stage where the fully and accurately modeled, textured and rigged model arrives for animation. The performance of the character is planned frame by frame using the same basic principle used for stop-motion and 2-D animation.

Run animation

Run Animation

  1. DYNAMICS & SIMULATION:

A physical phenomenon that can’t be affected by environment force or it can be defined as the movements of the universe that can’t be controlled like Gravity, wind, smoke, dust, water etc.

Dynamics and simulation

Particles collision

  1. LIGHTING:

Lighting is the medium to see anything. It shows the important areas of the scene, creates feelings and expressions that the scene wants to convey. The lighting artist has to consider not only the lighting of every scene but the elements by all the departments too.

Lighting artist possesses a lot of responsibilities, including the interaction of lights with the scene, the character and different types of materials, light properties, textures, mood and the color theory. It also plays an important role in the placement of shadows.

Lightening

It is one of the most important steps.

POST PRODUCTION:

After finishing pre-production and production, the project enters the Post- Production stage. Here, the project is given the final touch and is prepared for completion.  The project goes through many steps depending upon the requirement of the project.

These are stated below:

RENDERING: Here, the scene is exported to an image form.  It is the last step in the pipeline but is not the last in the production process. Beginners usually overlook this step, but it is an extremely important one. On the basis of renders, further post-production process takes place.

COMPOSITING: Here, the final rendered images are made ready for the film. It can be considered as a part of rendering as it is basically rendering the different passes (ambient occlusion, specular, shadow etc.) and handles the general color grading.

COLOUR CORRECTION: After rendering, the images are taken to Photoshop or any photo editing software and made it suitable for the scene.

EDITING: It includes

Sound editing: This department handles final soundtracks and lip sync of the characters.

Video editing: Here, the unwanted scenes and footage are removed. It works on the smooth functioning of the film to deliver seamless final product. This department makes sure that the video is meeting the ultimate requirements of the flow of the film.

ROTOSCOPING, CHROMA, TITLES & CREDITS and many more steps could be followed as per the project requirements.

VFX:

VFX is the special effects given to the scenes to make it look more flashy or real. It is the combination of both production and post-production stages.

CONCLUSION:

The 3-D project pipeline discussed above is common in most of the 3D animation studios, but it may vary at many. Many studios possess their own pipeline that is different from others. It is an individual choice. Many studios also adopt THE REFERENCING FORMULA, in which mainly modeling and Animation is done side by side working with other departments connected with a referencing software which connects them all, irrespective of their physical location.

Animation is a concept of giving life to a dead character. The animation era was started with 2D animation and now it has been decades that 3D animation has come into the picture. 2D animation has always been a confusing concept for many and after 3D has been introduced, it has become more mystical and hazy.

The main difference between 2D and 3D is nothing but the Z axis. 2D and 3D animation, both have the two axes that are X and Y, but 3D also has the Z-axis that makes it look real and 3 Dimensional.

The 2D animation and the 3D animation pipeline are quite different. A 3D animation project takes more time than that of a 2D and is more complex than any other.

Here, we’ll be discussing the stages that are involved in a 3D animation project pipeline.

As any other movie project pipeline, Animation also has 3 main stages that are:

  • PRE PRODUCTION

  • PRODUCTION

  • POST PRODUCTION

animation

AND AFTER FOLLOWING THIS PATH, WE REACH TO THE FINAL OUTPUT.

Though there a few more things in between the main stages, however, those are optional and preferred as per the studio guidelines or working process. All the stages are further discussed briefly in the article.

Starting with the first stage:

PRE-PRODUCTION:

It is the initial and considered to be the most important stage of any project pipeline, but for animation, it holds way more importance. It is a stage in which the story is developed. It is the backbone stage. Everything from the story of every single character is finalized here. It concludes the basis for the further stages.

The 3D animation Pre-Production stage includes the following:

  1. RESEARCH:

In this step, a thorough research is done on the basis of the story and the points are stated that are to be considered in the whole process.

  1. SCRIPTING:

Scripting is a document that includes the story, dialogues, shots, camera angles and every required detail, scene by scene. It is like a blueprint for the whole project pipeline.

  1. STORYBOARD:

storyboard

Here, the boy has been punished for his long hair in the school and not given food, so one of his classmates feels bad and offers him her food for which she gets punished.

A storyboard is a sequence of scenes divided by shots in the form of illustrations or images made for the purpose of pre-visualizing animation.  It gives the idea of the motion, feel, and timing and how the scene will look.

It includes:

  • Sequence of scenes as illustrations,
  • Types of shots and camera angles used in every scene,
  • Explanation of the scene and
  • Sometimes the dialogues.

Storyboard brings the picture of how the final output will look like. This stage helps in avoiding editing of scenes in the production process. These images can be further combined with dialogues and soundtracks to visualize how it will turn out to be. Though it is an optional part. The storyboard animation is also known as the animatic.

  1. CHARACTER DESIGN

This step states how the characters will look like and their physical characteristics.

It has 3 categories:

  • Character Sheet:

Character sheet defines or states the views of the character. It shows, how the character will look like from every angle that is required as per the story.

Total views= 7

Number of 2D views= 6 – TOP, BOTTOM, LEFT, RIGHT, FRONT and BACK

Number of 3D views= 1.

Character Sheet with 3-D Views

A Character Sheet with 3 views.

It is not necessary to portray the character from every angle, but only from the ones required as per the story.

  • Model Sheet:

Model sheet defines all the required Flexibility, actions and gestures of a character. It solely depends upon the character sketch of the character.

It includes its walk, run, jump etc.

  •  Expression Sheet:

Expression sheet

As the name suggests, this step shows the number of required character’s expressions and how they will be shown that would be followed throughout the animation process.

Here ends the Pre-Production stage. The next stage is the Production stage (Which we will discuss in next upcoming article), but before that, there is one more stage that is purely optional and is not always followed be all the animation studios. It is called as The Pre-Viz (Visualization) stage. Here, a rough 3D presentation is made for the pre-visualization of the project and to make changes if required before entering the production stage to minimize any sort of editing in the further stages. It is usually used for making game trailers.

CREATIVE WRITING

A desire to express forms a portrait of words,

We call it creative writing.

Creative writing:

Writing is an art that is used for communicating ideas and thoughts, and more so, creative writing is like a sketch of a person’s feelings portrayed in words. It’s nothing less than a portrait of a person or a scene or one’s abstract thoughts but in a readable form. For creative writing, a flow of emotions is a must that would be converted into thoughts and then words.

History of Writing:

At first, the writing came into existence with cave drawings to communicate, later it became the inspiration to develop human speech. The earliest writing was performed on clay tablets known as cuneiforms. It was started first in Egypt and Mesopotamia, around six thousand years ago and is continued experiencing a lot of changes. The sole purpose of writing was communication that is now a sense of expression.

Let’s discuss a few points that an aspiring writer should practice:

  • First of all, read a lot and with discrimination in order to write.
  • Let your experience develop.
  • Choose your own path. Don’t try to follow anyone, but be yourself.
  • Journalize your experiences and thoughts.
  • Structure your thoughts.
  • Imagine the course of your work; and
  • Aim for clarity, directness and precise writing.
  • Be your own critic as well as, share your work with your friends and seek other’s opinion.

Types of writing and their purpose:

  • NON-CREATIVE OR NONFICTIONAL WRITING:

Non-creative writing is mostly informative. It works with facts and figures an analytical approach with lucid and methodological arguments are a must for this type of writing. For example- Text books, editorials etc.

  • CREATIVE OR FICTIONAL WRITING:

It is a piece of abstract thoughts in words. It is also considered as a spiritual activity. This type of writing includes the writer’s feelings and way of thinking. It is the opposite of non-creative writing. An individual vision can be sensed in the writings. For example- novels, plays, poems etc.

Aspects of Writing:

  • CONTENT:

The essence of content is the experience. Experience is what one acquires from the life around, through one’s senses, by observing things that go on. No author can possibly write in a vacuity. He would have seen life around him in its various situations, happy and sad, harsh and poignant, and he would have made mental notes of everything. When, suddenly, it occurs to him to write a story about a certain issue as its substance, with a particular lot of eccentrics, the right elements, which he had once gathered in his mind and which have in the meanwhile undergone strange transformations within him, will begin tumbling out of their own accord and take a new life on paper. Even when one formulates a narrative, its elements would somewhere resemble the real. Differently, the writing will lack credibility and legitimacy. A well-written work should always yield the reader the notion that it is substantial; it should never make him pronounce, ‘Oh, how could this ever happen!’ Hence, it is necessary for a writer to keep his eyes and ears clear and closely watch the life around so as to be able to carry those images for use in future.

  • FORM:

‘Form’ has two meanings. Firstly, literary form and secondly, structural form. As for literary form, the content itself generally decides what shape it should call for. Whether a particular insight should come out as a narrative or a novel, or its nature and quality are such that nothing, but a poem shows it full is not generally decided consciously. It comes on its own with the idea of writing itself. On occasion, the writer may be in a dilemma and has to decide, considering all elements into consideration, which form to opt.

  • STRUCTURE:

As for its structural sense, the guiding principle should be an easy communication for easy inclusion. In order to achieve a good structure, the writer should first of all order his material, that is, decide- (a) how much of what should be in the work, and (b) in what order. Logic, common sense and experience, drawn from one’s wide reading, will avail here. Just as a 500-page novel cannot be handled with only two characters, an eight-page story cannot hold two dozen characters, unless the author is a very smart. One cannot go on describing the locale of the story for seven pages, reserving all the action and its denouement to the last page. As for the order, the Aristotelian ‘beginning-middle-and-end’ is a time-tested sequence. But a gifted writer can always make variations. Literary tradition has provided us with several acceptable models, but if the writer is innovative he can create newer models. It is significant to have in mind, nonetheless, that ultimately structure is merely a means to an end, and one should choose only that in which the content comes through more skilful.

In its totality, a piece of writing is like a work of architecture, where every stone is well-cut and fits into the other as if the two are one piece. Nothing in it should stick out. The entire structure should form an aesthetically satisfying whole. The stone metaphor above applies to every single element of writing-first the word, then the sentence, the paragraph, the chapter and finally the book itself. Each word in a sentence should act like the right musical tone, and each sentence like a bar and the book as a whole like a symphony, harmonious in its full orchestration.

  • STYLE:

Then comes style. It is potential that two works were written on the same theme, or with the same stem, should both be structurally satisfying, yet stylistically one may be more beneficial than the other. The style is a manner of expressing one’s thoughts and feelings in words. It is the effect of long-cultivated awareness of words and sentences, of the way a writer connects one sentence with another. For one writer, ‘succour’ may be satisfactory, while ‘help’ may be more appropriate. ‘Procrastination’ is a tongue-twisting, while ‘delay’ is more expressive. For many, more than two adjectives at a time may be bad writing, but for a poet like Walt Whitman, a chain of them was normal. Style is a very personal thing; it identifies the writer.

The world is full of creativity and we can say that passion gives meaning to life. The two words, creativity and passion accompany the will to follow the heart. Animation as a career is one of the most chosen careers today. In India, the Animation industry is growing very rapidly and the market is full of opportunities. And it’s not limited to India only, the whole world has become a hub of the animation industries.

Also, the world of movies survives on Animation and Visual Effects. Many greatest movies like Life of a pie, Avengers and many more have animation as their backbone.

Yet, there are many myths about animation. Let’s discuss them in an animated and fun way, with the help of an infographic.

animation

Conclusion:

Animation is not an easy field, but is not difficult as well. A basic knowledge of Sketching is required, but not necessarily one should be a great artist. There are many jobs and the number is increasing day by day. To become a part of the animation industry, all you have to have is a passion and love for it.

A Journey From The Known To The Unknown.

MEDIA RESEARCH

It is an objective and systematic identification, analysis, dissemination, collection and use of information for the investigation and inquiry of problems and attaining possible solutions.

Clifford Woody defined research as, “defining and redefining problems, formulating a hypothesis or suggested solutions; collecting, organizing and evaluating data; making deductions and reaching conclusions; and finally, carefully testing the conclusions to determine whether they fit the formulating hypothesis”.

FLOW CHART TO PREPARE A RESEARCH REPORT

media research

FLOW CHART OF A RESEARCH PROCESS/ STEPS INVOLVED IN A RESEARCH PROCESS:

media research

RESEARCH INVOLVES:

  • Specification of the information required to address various issues.
  • Designing the methods for collecting information.
  • Managing and implementing the data collection process
  • Analysing the results.
  • Communication the findings and their implications.

SIGNIFICANCE OF RESEARCH:

  • Research inculcates scientific and inductive thinking.
  • Promotes logical thinking and habits.
  • Provides basis for nearly all government policies in our economic system
  • Research has its special significance in solving various operational and planning problems of business and industry.
  • It is an aid to decision making.
  • It creates relations between variables.
  • Important for social scientists in studying social relationships and in seeking answers to various social problems.
  • It provides a base for innovation.
  • It helps in the process of thinking, analysis, evaluation, and interpretation of various situations.

CRITERIA FOR A GOOD RESEARCH:

  • The purpose should be clearly defined.
  • Common concepts should be used that can be understood by all.
  • The procedure should be explained in detail.
  • A research design should be carefully planned.
  • The researcher should declare all the possible errors and their possible impacts on findings.
  • Analysis of data should be sufficiently adequate to reveal significance.
  • The validity and reliability of data should be checked carefully.
  • A researcher should have a good command over the research methodology and should be intelligent and experienced.

LIMITATIONS OF RESEARCH:

  • It is based on sample research and sampling lacks complete accuracy.
  • Long process.
  • Trained personnel are required.
  • Lack of knowledge always leaves a negative impact on the findings.

When we think of a college or a university, there are many different points that interest the parents and the students, but the status and the accreditation are the points that simply, are the most important. The accreditation is basically divided into three branches that are Deemed universities, Autonomous universities, and Private universities. Though it has much more, the main are these three only and the status totally depends on it.

In this article, we would be talking about a Deemed–to–be university, its many advantages and disadvantages and the difference it holds from the other categories.

What are Deemed or Deemed – to – be universities?

Deemed or Deemed – to – be universities are an accreditation of a full-fledged university providing higher education. They are accorded by DHE under MHRD, on the advice of UGC. These universities hold all the rights or the academic status and enjoy the benefits of being a proper university. Some Deemed – to – be universities also enjoy the authority to grant degrees on their own. The status of a deemed university grants full autonomy in syllabus, admissions, courses, and fees.  The UGC list dated 23 June 2008 lists 130 deemed universities in India, with the latest addition to the list, made on 24 June 2009.

How is Deemed or Deemed – to – be universities are different?

Deemed – to – be

Private

Autonomous

Usually, can grant degrees or diploma on their own. Only can award a degree or diploma with the approval of UGC. Mostly awarded by the Affiliated university. They can award degrees, but cannot hold the stature of a university.
They are awarded the status of a full-fledged university. They can only be a college or an institute. They are mostly affiliated to a university.
Have the autonomy in the syllabus, admissions, courses, and fees Have followed the rules and regulations of UGC. If affiliated, decided by the university, the college is affiliated with. If not, can decide by their own.
Good placement opportunities. Depends on the institute to institute. Usually, less than deemed universities
Accorded by DHE under MHRD, on the advice of UGC Falls under UGC. Under Department of Higher Education.

Salient Features of a Deemed University:

  • Carries the status of a university.
  • Awards degrees or diploma.
  • Have the autonomy in the syllabus, admissions, courses, and fees.
  • An Independent decision maker

Advantages of Deemed Universities:

  • Set their own guidelines.
  • Work without pressure.
  • Good placement opportunities.
  • Quality education.
  • Have full authority of setting up question papers, syllabus and deciding the pattern of exams.

Disadvantages of Deemed Universities:

  • Could be strict at times.
