Nowadays students who appear in the 12th board examinations are facing problems related to the syllabus of class XII as they claim that XII syllabus is hard to understand however the problem is not the hard syllabus. Actually, the root cause of the problem is hidden somewhere in class XI and this is the lack of focus in class XI. Class XI contains the base of the things which you learn in class XII and it is a universal truth that if the base is weak then one can’t build a strong structure over that base.

So we have some suggestions regarding what to do in class XI for the students who have just cleared Xth board exams or are going to appear in the same.

The marks a student score in class XI surely will not be counted anywhere, however, the syllabus that we are having in class XI is of supreme importance & one should not ignore it. After completing class XII, you will be going to appear in various competitive exams for your higher education like engineering and medical entrance exams, CPT, CLAT, NIFT etc.  These exams contain a large portion of the syllabus based on class XI.

We have marked some chapters, which you should not ignore while studying in class XII. These chapters will always be with you in one or the other exams.

1. Trigonometry

2. Probability

3. Permutation and combination

4. Series and progression

5. Coordinate geometry

The above mentioned are some topics only. The list does not say that other topics are not important. The content of books of NCERT is fully important for a student, however, we tried to find out some important topics to be focused more.

Apart from these topics, we have certain points for you, which a student unknowingly do and thinks that a particular topic is not easy to understand.

  • Students nowadays avoid concepts & just start solving questions. Without concepts, you are having a plane but you don’t know how to fly. Will it be worth than to have a plane? No.

So, avoid just solving the problem from solution books or from somewhere else. This may give you benefit on a short term basis but there will be serious consequences of this in future. Always study first then solve problems. The understanding of concepts is more important than solving problems.

  • As in future if you appear in competitive exams and you have no skills and concepts you are zero. You will not be able to compete there. But If your concepts are strong then you will be a competent person.
  • “Conceptual understanding is more valuable than isolated Facts and Methods”.

textbooks

These are the common mistakes which many students do while study

  • They prefer “Solution books“ rather than concepts.

  • They give more preference to others books than their textbooks.

But if someone has really messed up in class XI. {Yes, it really happens with the students of CBSE board}.

                                                          “DO NOT WORRY”

Just give your bit more effort to make up the portions of class XI. Do not lose confidence and work smartly. Success will be all yours.
