During 13th century, there were two lady rulers in different parts of Indian subcontinent.
1. Razziya, She was Daughter of Sultan Iltutmish and ruled for 4 years from 1236 to 1240. She was the most qualified among all her brothers but still ruled out just because she was a queen not king.
2. Rudramadevi (1262-1289), She was ruler of Warangal and belonged to Kakatiya dynasty. Rudramadevi changed her name on her inscriptions and pretended she was a man.
3. Another queen, Didda, ruled in Kashmir (980-1003). Her title is interesting: it comes from “didi” or “elder sister”, an obviously affectionate term given to a loved ruler by her subjects.
Well.. Problems (In above case it is Gender discrimination) was there and will be there… Its up to you, how you wanted to deal with them and results will come accordingly.
